Kontribusi Tim Konsultan Tidak Berjalan Seperti yang Diharapkan

Beberapa minggu berjalan, saya mulai merasakan ketimpangan. Saat saya menyiapkan struktur utama, data, dan arahan, rekan yang saya libatkan tampak kesulitan mengejar ritme kerja. Draft yang mereka hasilkan seringkali jauh dari ekspektasi, terlalu umum, bahkan cenderung copy-paste dari referensi yang kurang relevan. Saya harus menyunting, memperbaiki, bahkan menulis ulang sebagian besar materi mereka agar tetap sesuai standar yang saya janjikan ke klien.

Saya masih berusaha sabar. Saya coba perjelas harapan, beri umpan balik yang konstruktif, dan bahkan menawarkan contoh agar bisa jadi rujukan. Tapi tetap saja, kontribusi mereka tidak kunjung meningkat secara signifikan.

Di sisi lain, tenggat makin dekat, dan saya tidak punya pilihan selain menutup celah itu sendiri. Malam-malam saya habiskan menyelesaikan bagian yang seharusnya sudah bisa mereka tangani. Beban bertambah, tapi tanggung jawab tetap harus dijalankan.

Konflik pun muncul, bukan dalam bentuk pertengkaran, tapi dalam pikiran saya sendiri: Haruskah saya lanjutkan kerja sama ini, atau cukupkan saja sampai di sini?

Akhirnya, saya memilih untuk tetap menyelesaikan proyek ini dengan cara terbaik yang saya bisa. Saya tidak ingin klien melihat masalah internal. Namun, pengalaman ini menjadi catatan penting: dalam membentuk tim, kemampuan teknis saja tidak cukup. Komitmen, kecepatan tanggap, dan rasa tanggung jawab jauh lebih menentukan.

Saya belajar bahwa tidak semua orang siap berada dalam ritme kerja yang cepat dan dinamis. Dan sebagai pemimpin proyek, saya harus lebih tegas sejak awal dalam menyaring siapa yang benar-benar siap bekerja, bukan hanya siap hadir.

Proyek ini selesai tepat waktu, dan klien puas. Tapi saya tahu, proses di belakangnya bisa jauh lebih efisien—andai kolaborasinya berjalan seimbang.
